I got the following comment from Thunderbolts.info forum friend, Nick, on Feb 7. {RC means RadioCarbon, which is C14 or Carbon 14.}

""It is a bit of a coincidence that a few days ago, I had just reread Ginenthal's article "Scientific Dating Methods In Ruins", The Velikovskian, Vol. II #1

A few items from that article:

In The Physiology of Forest Trees (1958) p194, Bruno Huber cited a case where wood from a living tree was RC dated at 10 K years old. The tree was near an airport and no doubt infused with excess CO2 from aircraft exhaust. It is of note that Velikovskian type catastrophic scenarios require extensive volcanism through out the planet, not to mention exchanges of gases during interplanetary encounters. In other words, RC dating has the a priori implied assumption that the atmospheric environment especially carbon levels, has remained constant.

W Dort in The Antarctic Journal of the United States 6 (1971), reported that freshly slaughtered seals RC dated at 1300 years old.

See the article from SCIENCE 141 (1983); Keith and Anderson, "Radiocarbon Dating: Fictitious Results With Mollusk Shells", where it is reported that living mollusk shells were RC dated to 2300 years old.

These cases are only examples of dating errors that were reported. It is important to remember that dates that do not conform to expected chronology are regularly discarded as "contaminated" and not reported. The only criteria for determining contamination is if the sample is far off from the expected date.""
