These are paraphrased excerpts from Cardona’s 4th and 5th books about the 7-fold spiral that formed after it flared up as a nova.
METAMORPHIC STAR
THREE COMPARATIVE MODELS
1. NORTH POLAR SATURN. _p. 60) ... "the north celestial polar source of heat and light that was required to keep Earth's Arctic regions free of ice and teeming with near-tropical life would have been Saturn {above the north pole}."
____{The best evidence that Saturn was over the north pole may be that the north polar region bulges out there and Cardona said magma is rotating under it. The fact that fossil evidence shows a former temperate or subtropical climate in arctic regions is more likely due to the continents having split from the supercontinent and moved somewhat northward as well as southward from the equator in the latter part of the Great Flood of c. 3,300 BC. Michael Oard figured that the Earth was warm right after the Great Flood, including at the poles, but in order for trees to live prolifically in the Arctic Circle, a light source, such as polar Saturn, may have been needed, but not if the land was outside of the arctic circle before the supercontinent broke up.
2. NORTH POLAR GREAT PYRAMID. Another theory I like is that Earth's north pole was previously located at the Great Pyramid, which is said to be the center of Earth's land masses. The supercontinent then may have been raised above sea level by Saturn's pull. But then, that may not explain why the continents are granite instead of basalt. As Mike Fischer suggested, a huge asteroid impact may have formed the granite supercontinent. If the asteroid was mostly granite, when it impacted it would have melted and then gradually solidified to form a supercontinent. Maybe Saturn's steady attractive pull moved the supercontinent over Earth's mantle till it was centered directly under Saturn.
3. EARTH'S & SATURN'S TILTS. Saturn, Earth, Mars and Neptune all have nearly the same axial tilt. If the Great Pyramid was formerly on the north polar axis, the axis must have tilted after the pyramid was built, unless Egyptians knew where the north pole had previously been located and built it there after the tilt. The tilt would likely have occurred during the Great Flood when the asteroid impact occurred, I think.}
CONSTANT POLAR TORNADO
_Cardona said the Sumerian god Enlil was Saturn, and according to Mircea Eliade, Enlil meant "lord of the violent wind."10
_The Hebrew word Elohim was one of their names for Saturn and it meant "spirit" which moved upon the face of the celestial waters and the Hebrew word translated as "spirit" actually means "wind."11
_And wind is found in association with Saturn in several ancient nations12
_Ninurta's {Mars'} favored weapon was not only a cyclone,13 but, as the sharur,14 it was the "mighty cyclone of Enlil" {Saturn}.15
_The Polynesian Tane, also known as Kane,16 had Saturn characteristics.1 He was referred to as a turning/spinning entity associated with "the great water source", and also known as "Tane of the whirlwind."2
_"Like all other Saturnian deities, however, Enlil was not just a windy god, but the personification of a particular gale, the one that blew in the north celestial {sky}.3"
_"This was the North Wind we have already met as the property of Osiris and Atum.4"
_The same cyclone was called Hurakan,5 from whom the word "hurricane" is derived, and this Mesoamerican deity was also said to have stood on one leg, like other Saturn gods in various traditions.6
_This single leg was the tornado, the axis mundi, or polar column. Coming from Saturn, it was called a whirling ray of light,7 a churning pillar,8 a fiery axis, that stretched from Saturn to Earth's north polar region.9
_Like the Egyptian Shu, Enlil's towering whirlwind was seen as an axial post that separated10 or joined Heaven and Earth.
{Talbott thought Osiris was Jupiter, but it seems Cardona was probably right that it was Saturn.}
PHALLUS
_p.94) The Egyptian god Ra is said to have cut off his own phallus, the polar column.3
_Likewise, the Hindu god Shiva was said to have castrated himself.4
_George Harvey5 said the cutting of the genitals of Ouranos by Kronos, as told by the ancient Greeks,6 is also a self-castration, since Ouranos was simply a different manifestation of Kronos/Saturn.7
_Ra was said to have had sexual union "with himself,"8 so it seems the polar column was seen to retract up to Saturn. So the castrated genitals of Ouranos are said to have been flung "into the stormy sea,"9 which would have been Saturn's circumstellar disk. So the column/phallus did not fall down, but up,to where it came from.10
_In the Shiva Purana, under the name Rudra, Shiva's own castrated lingam was also said to have gone up into "the very sky."11
DIVINE DISEMBOWELMENT
_In a Hittite myth, the god Utu's disappearance involved "blending" with the night "like a snake,"1 since Saturn's unwinding coil of dusty debris looked like a snake. _Both serpents and intestines were associated with each other in the Egyptian god Apep, a serpent likened to a winding intestine,2 which led us to Humbaba, which was Saturn with a face of intestines.
_The Egyptian language has the word qab, which means "intestines,"3 and a related word, qabu, which means "windings", "coils", or "the folds of a serpent."4
_Another related word, Qabi, was a mythological snake.5
_Disembowelment among the gods was a common belief in antiquity. The god Apep was not only a snake, likened to a winding intestine, but was also disemboweled.6
_Saturn's unwinding debris was apparently seen by some as an evisceration, so Humbaba's face was formed out of entrails, while the Meso-American god Tlaloc's face was shown as coiling serpents.
_While Saturn's spiraling debris continued to expand, it was visually seen to merge with its dissipating circumstellar disk, called the sea or ocean of heaven {similar to Saturn's rings}.
_An allusion to this evolving portent is mentioned casually in an Egyptian papyrus which states that the sea (which meant the cosmic ocean or circumstellar disk around Saturn) was also represented by a serpent monster.1 This Hermitage Papyrus then tells us that "the High God himself' had to restrain the waters.2
_Rundle Clark realized that the ancients thought the world had to be "protected against the disintegrating forces of the surrounding chaos."3
_Asimov correctly understood such allusions referring to God's accomplishment during Creation "destroying the monster representing the chaotic sea."4
_What must be added is that the relatively slow disintegration of Saturn's chaotic circumstellar disk was also envisioned as an evisceration. As it is narrated in the Babylonian Enuma Elish Epic of Creation, Tiamat's bowels/guts were "torn asunder."5 It is these guts/intestines{/darkness} that Utu was seen to merge with like a snake.
____{I thought Tiamat was Venus, but maybe it was Saturn. It may have been hard to tell them apart, since Venus was in front of Saturn initially.}
THE WINDING LABYRINTH
_Saturn's spiraling emission was also likened to a winding passage, a circular corridor, leading to the center of Saturn. This uncoiling track would have assumed more complexity once it spread beyond Saturn's circumference to superimpose itself on the chaotic dissolution of its circumstellar disk.
_To those who looked on in awe, or horror, Utu's snakelike outpouring was seen to merge with the surrounding Sea's intestinal dispersal in a veritable maze. That is what lies behind the concept of the mythological labyrinth, known from myths all over the world.
_One of the titles bestowed on Humbaba was "God of the fortress of intestines,"6 which was presented as a labyrinthine enclosure.7
_Despite its eventual transformation into various intricate forms, it was never quite forgotten the original structure was nothing but a spiral.8
_The close relation between spirals, intestines, and labyrinths reaches back into far antiquity. Our ancestors were entranced with Saturn's spiraling debris through the ages down into modern times.
_The very concept behind the expanding spiral as a labyrinth continues to fill countless pages in works dealing with mystical experience.9 Nor has any of this managed to disassociate the labyrinth from intestines.10
_While, at such a late date, they do not represent exactly what it looked like, examples of the labyrinth that include spiraling trails in conjunction with serpentine characteristics can be found on various objects, such as plates recovered from Cocle graves in Panama dated between 500 to 1550 AD.
_Divination through the examination of entrails was also associated with labyrinths,1 and with coiled snakes.2
_Rituals involving labyrinthine associations in memory of "the original cosmic creation,"3 are avidly maintained by many Mexican Indians.4
_In time, Saturn's labyrinth was to evolve even further.
NEWBORN STAR
CIRCUMSTELLAR DISKS
_Scientists formerly believed that circumstellar disks needed "hundreds of thousands, if not millions of years" to dissipate.1
_But in 1983, a disk was discovered around a young star in the Scorpius-Centaurus stellar nursery.
_Nothing changed by 2008, but a year later the dust in the disk diminished by about two thirds.
_And by 2010 the dust had almost completely disappeared.2
FIERY SPIRALING STREAM
_The most bizarre sight our ancient ancestors witnessed after Saturn's blinding nova diminished was a fiery stream of matter spewing from proto-Saturn's south polar region in an ever widening spiraling path.
_The Hubble Space Telescope captured material similarly spewing forth in a spiral from the star LL Pegasi.5
_And the Atacama, Chile ALMA spotted another spiral structure issuing from the star R. Sculptoris.6
_Jill Purce noted that ancient man thus held the belief that "chaos" turned into "cosmos" through a "spiral movement."1
_A Vedic belief was that the seed of "the universe" manifested as a spiral issuing from the centre of a sphere.3
_Various cultures depicted Saturn's radiating streamers with short projections around its periphery.
_Some showed it as a river issuing from the mouth of the Creator.
_Babylonians has a strong belief that the river goddess/god created "everything".5
_Apsu/abzu was likely the celestial ocean, or circumstellar disk surrounding Saturn.8
_This disk was invaded by the celestial river, or fog or foam according to the Yuki's of California, which "moved round and round continually" over the water.9
{{Top row: Copies of Mexican pictographs.
{{Bottom row - left to right: Copies of petroglyphs from North America and Egypt.
_Hesiod said Gaea and Uranus begot a son described as "deep-whirling Okeanos."1
_In the same poem Okeanos is described as a "circling stream,"2,3
_Homer said this stream called Okeanos girdled the world.1
_Robert Graves said "Homer's myth is a version of the Pelasgian creation story {where} Okeanos{/Oceanus} was played by Ophion.2
_Diodorus Siculus said, to the Egyptians it was the same as the river Nile.3
_The original Nile was a celestial entity. It was within this river that the gods were created.4
_The origin of Okeanos was likely the Akkadian uginna which means "circle."5
_And Homer describes Okeanos/Oceanus as "the ever-encircling waters"6 or as "bending back in a circle."7
_But what does it mean that this river-god "girdled the world" or that "with nine swirling streams he winds about the earth"?8
_What ancient man really witnessed was the series of transformations that the Saturn went through after its nova.
_Prime among those transformations was the spiraling stream of fiery debris.
THE CHINESE DRAGON
_Heriee Glessner Creel posited that the dragon is first mentioned on the oracle bones from the Shang dynasty,2 which is now generally accepted.
_This would only go back to between 1200 and 1050 B.C.
_However, Chinese writing itself is no older than those very oracle bones.
_So the dragon was already known and written about when Chinese writing first appeared.
_A statue of the dragon dates back to the Yangshao culture, c. 5000 to 3000 B.C., and was discovered in Henan in 1987.4
_The Chinese dragon is often portrayed in the act of chasing a globe, called a "pearl", or a "fire pearl."
_In many instances the dragon is also shown encircling, rather than chasing, the pearl.
_Judging by the embroidered effigies of the dragon on imperial robes, the dragon's encirclement of the pearl seems to take precedence over pearl-chasing.
_We cannot exclude the pearl's identity as an egg6, a cosmic one, directly associated with Creation.
_Van der Sluijs agrees that ancient societies regarded the basis of creation as the outflow of the primordial spiral.
_The dragon traditionally pursued or 'belched forth' the desired gem..."1
_The emperor of China was known as Tien Tsi, which means "Son of Heaven."
_His seat of power was the Dragon Throne,2 and the dragon was depicted on imperial robes through the ages, as the principal emblem of Chinese royalty.3
_The emperor was in fact considered to be the real dragon.4
_This belief originated with the legendary Huang-Ti, the Yellow Emperor, who was said to have resembled a dragon and became a dragon when he died.6
_Huang-Ti was the planet Saturn.
_Chinese emperors were considered to be reincarnations of the dragon,7.
_This is similar to the pharaohs of Egypt who were considered reincarnations of Osiris and/or Horus.8
_The dragon itself has also been compared to the Egyptian Osiris and the earlier Babylonian Ea.9
_Velikovsky was wrong to identify the dragon and its pearl as the planet Venus in its cometary aspect.11
_The encircling Chinese dragon is to be understood as the outflow of debris from protoSaturn's axial pole
_The debris continued to spiral out so far that witnesses of the event could actually see it circumventing Saturn.
_This debris spiral across Saturn's watery looking circumstellar disk made the Dragon seem to be water, rivers, lakes, and ocean.
_The dragon chasing the fire pearl referred to the disruption of the Saturn system, that occurred much later and involved a different dragon.
_The disruption of the Saturn system took place amid a flurry of planetary thunderbolts and cosmic lightning.
_For that reason, the dragon became closely associated with storms and thunder.
_"[The dragon] unfolds himself in the storm clouds; he washes his mane in the seething whirlpools.
His claws are in the fork of the lightning, his scales begin to glisten in the bark of rain-swept trees.
His voice is heard in the hurricane..."1
_When Saturn departed, the dragon's chase of the pearl was understood as an attack on the Sun and therefore the cause of solar eclipses.
_Similarly, the attack of Ra by the serpent Apep is represented as an assault on the Sun during solar eclipses,2,3
_The Sun's re-emergence from its darkening eclipses is then interpreted as the Sun's victory over Apep.
COSMOGONIC BROKEN EGG
_Under Cosmogonic Egg Cardona figured that the ancients who saw Saturn before its nova flareup saw it as looking like a broken egg, with Saturn resembling the round yolk and the circumstellar disk resembling the watery looking albumin. Later generations, who didn't see Saturn before the nova, thought their elders were describing it like an unbroken egg, as it has come down through myths.
ASTRONOMICAL EXEMPLARS
_It has been stated that: "Although supernovae typically eject most of their debris into interstellar space,
_a small amount remains gravitationally bound and falls back to form a swirling disk around the stellar remnant."2
_Supernova SN 1987A has 3 visible rings and the central loop is the supernova's newly acquired equatorial ring.4
_Such disks and rings have not only been detected around the remnants of supernovae, but even around little brown dwarf stars, like proto Saturn.1
_One may wonder how an axial discharge can end up as an equatorial ring or disk.
_The eruption of the recurrent nova RS Ophiuchi took place on February 13, 2006.2
_It was concluded that the outburst had to have been bipolar, emitted from both poles
_A circular ring ended up in its equatorial orbit.3
_Kristian Birkeland did terella experiments, discharging an electric current at a magnetic cathode globe in a glass-paneled vacuum chamber.
_Electric rays at the poles of the globe, but shifted to the equator and formed "a strongly luminous ring" around the globe.4
_The most dramatic stellar spiral to date is the one ejected by the giant red star R Sculptoris.
_The star had somehow ejected far more material than expected.
_It exhibits a prominent ring at its perimeter within which the spiraling matter is confined.
_This outer ring is now understood as an outer spherical shell, "the bright periphery of the star's encasing plasmasphere."
_Astronomers have thought that spirals are produced by binary stars.
_But, what we now know is that Beta Lyrae is a binary with no detectable spiral.
_Wolf-Rayet 104 does exhibit an ejected spiral, but no companion star has been detected.
_Likewise, R Sculptoris has a spectacular spiraling emission, but it too lacks a companion.
_The spiral issuing from LL Pegasi and a companion seems to have been detected, but only as an indistinct blur.
_Saturn's nova eruption in the Solar System conforms with the known effects of supernovae.
ENCIRCLED EGG
_In Orphic theogony, the {creator} god's pneuma, i.e. "spirit," "soul," "breath", or emission, coiled itself like a snake around the egg.1
_Hindu mythology the spiral wrapped around the egg seven times.2
_The Pelasgians called the serpent Ophion and it had 7 coils aroung the egg.3
_Buddhists said Muchalinda was a prodigious cobra, who coiled "seven times {around} the blessed body of the Enlightened One."1
_In Finland's Kalevala writing, the serpent's seven windings around the egg were transformed into seven eggs.2
_Having amalgamated with the diminishing circumstellar disk, the spiral's seven coils could just as easily have been compared to seven eggs.
_The Maya dramatically portrayed at the pyramid temple of Kukulkan at Chichen Itza in Mexico patterns by the equinox Sun that mimics 7 undulations of the
Kukulkan serpent.
RELIGION & FESTIVALS OF LIGHT
_Alfred de Grazia said "religious rite is aimed at rehearsing and repeating the original cosmic order."3
_I would rather have emphasized the original cosmic events.
_de Grazia rightly claimed it was aimed "to support and control" the cosmic order,4
_It was to pacify the deities so they wouldn't cause cosmic catastrophes.
_The Babylonians celebrated a seven-day-long festival in commemoration of Ningirsu/Ninib/Saturn, the god who "changed darkness into light."5
_It was said thatSaturn took 7 days to bring his Creation to fulfillment.
_Likewise the Bible says God ended his work of creation on the seventh day.1
_Persians say on the 7th day "God created Saturn,"3 or brought it into prominence.
_These festivals were not inaugurated anytime soon following Saturn's flare-up.
_The calendar year had not yet come into being because there was still nothing to enable man to keep track of time.
Orbital Development
THE SEVEN DAYS & SEVEN SEAS
_As in the Book of Genesis, Elohim accomplished the Creation in seven consecutive days.1
_Since Earth was axially suspended beneath Saturn, rather than orbiting around it, the day had not yet come into existence.
_There was no way during that particular event that man could have been able to calculate the passage of time.
_Even if one had to stick meticulously to the Biblical rendition, the Sun, Moon and stars, were not in the sky until the fourth day.
_One of the Sanskrit names for the planet Saturn is Saptan-Amshupungavah that translates as "seven seas of teeming light beams".13
_That ties seven to both light and water.
_The seven seas became a fixation that continues to this very day.
_These seven seas were just as prominent among some of the early Semites, who described Creation from celestial waters.
_To them and their immediate descendants, Creation took place in seven seas.
_However, those who came much later could not make much sense out of such a belief.
_The seven seas were misunderstood as a misrepresentation of seven days.
_The difference between the Hebrew words for "sea" and "day" was a non-existent vowel.
_The word for "sea" in this language is yam; the word for day is yom, but early Hebrew was written without vowels.
_So both words were originally written as ym.
_Whatever it was that Elohim created on each day was added later in order to explain why it took seven days for Creation.
_Due to Earth's minor wobbling following Saturn's nova, Saturn was seen to meander around a central point.
_The god Shiva in the Puranas, wandered about while surrounded by a bevy of ethereal entities we recognize spiraling debris.4
_Once Earth stopped wobbling, Saturn appeared to come to rest.
_Elohim/Saturn came to rest on the innermost spiral, the seventh sea, which became the 7th day.
